Event: Midlands Fashion Award 2014

As a representative of 2014/15 Mallzee ambassador, The Equinox Fashion had an opportunity to attend another incredible event which hosted in Birmingham last Friday. 

''Midlands Fashion Award 2014" was just amazing! I had a good opportunity to take a look at wide variety of talented designers including young designers and emerging one. They showcased a broad range of creative artwork, and there were lots of pieces I loved. I actually can't tell you how amazing my night was, but I have to say a big thank you to Mallzee team for such magnificent night in Birmingham.

There's Nothing Wrong in Fashion

Have you ever worried about your outfit? Or even looked into the mirror just to check if you are wearing the right items? I guess some of you may experience that moment when you possibly feel insecure of what you are putting on the body. Don't worry, a street fashion blogger like me had that kind of feeling in the past. 

I used to be kind of a person who felt really bad about myself. When I watched television, sometimes I questioned myself "why wouldn't I look like her?" It happened all the time. However, it is just a waste of time having such vibe which is gonna drive you to nowhere. I think we all should embrace ourselves because we are beautiful in a different way. Lately, I have been writing the articles for online magazine which one of the posts are about "the meaning of beautiful" And I still insist on my words that "beautiful comes from within." It is not about the makeup you apply nor any other accessories. Those factors can make you physically beautiful, but inside every single of us contains the seed of "self" which you can either grows it properly or use it in the wrong way. 

Likewise, I think there's no right or wrong in fashion because our styles are different. I am wearing street fashion, you are wearing runway trend, others may love purchasing Korean fashion. It's all up to YOU! No one is gonna lecture you about the top you are buying or the shoes you are wearing. 

Embrace yourself ladies, it is a very good feeling when you just have a positive vibe about yourself :) No need to be discouraged or stopped by others, because it's you who live your life.

Winter Selection x Proud Fashion

It is getting colder and colder in Manchester, United Kingdom or I can say that the wind here is going insane. But luckily, I have the life saver sent from from Germany, so there's no need to worry about getting cold anymore. 

"Proud Fashion" Germany based brand has been in contact with The Equinox Fashion for a while, and they have decided to give me the jacket to try in terms of the design and quality. I received a massive parcel sent straight from Sankt Augustin to Manchester a week ago and I was so excited to see what Proud's selection was. 

To be honest, I love the fabric of this jacket so much because it is quite thick which properly shields cold and wind. Especially, the inside pockets that make my life become easier since I can just put my phone there. I love listening to music, so it is very crucial for me to have the phone with me all the time. However, the most important thing is the "quality of the fabric" Because when you live in a cold country, but without anything warm enough to protect you from the harsh weather is like a nightmare. So, thank you so much Proud, you have saved my life!

Halloween Photo Shoot with Rock On Ruby

Some of you may still remember the collaboration of The Equinox Fashion x Rock on Ruby since July. The brand sent its uber cool slogan tee to me all the way from United Kingdom to Bangkok, Thailand in order to become another versatile piece for my holiday. Our relationship has been growing since then, like I said before that I love keeping in contact with the brands which I have worked with, not just for friendship but connection also. It is good to get to know other people, as well as, appreciate those who willing to work with you, isn't it? And last month, The Equinox Fashion had a great opportunity to work with ROR again on the photo shoot with "Creep It Real" Halloween collection.

Since I arrived in Manchester, Rock on Ruby has become my great partner for events! We always go to events together because we are team. Even though, I am not a part of the brand's team members, I can say that our friendship is just amazing. Not many brands would come down and hang out with you but ROR does. 

In this photo shoot set, I was wearing pink leggings with the top and accessories provided by the brand. It was really smooth when we worked together. I don't know it seems like we know each other for long time, so it was really quick and easy for us to do a collaboration together.

Event: My Bandage Dress ft Luxy Accessories

The Equinox Fashion had an opportunity to participate in one of the events hosted in Birmingham, United Kingdom a few weeks ago. The event I attended was hosted by "My Bandage Dress" Women' online retailer which offers a lot of girly yet sexy clothing styles. 

I had not known about this online retailer until I received an email from the company, and now My Bandage Dress has been listed as another brand to watch. The brand has obtained a pretty good feedback not only from bloggers in United Kingdom, but also the customers who are looking for pretty outfits to wear in daily lifestyle (Yes, they are shipping worldwide!). Even though, I rarely wear this type of clothes, there are several pieces I love! 

The fashion show was lovely and I am pretty sure that loads of bloggers who attended the event were really interested in the designs and fabric as much as I did especially the faux fur jacket, one of my most favourite piece from MBD so far. You gotta see that simply but delicate texture, as well as, summery prints on the clothes. They are amazing to be filled in the wardrobes! 

Also, "Luxy Accessories" products were also exhibited there. If you are looking for a beautiful statement piece or luxurious necklaces for a special occasion, Luxy Accessories can be another option to fulfill your needs.

Who You Really Are

Mom:"When are you gonna wear pink dress or any feminine outfits like any other girls do?" 

Me: "I don't know...I really don't know" 

My mom has been repeating this question over and over, still my answer is the same. My wardrobes are fulled of monochrome pieces and I constantly in love with them. Never bored with black clothes nor items purchased from street fashion markets. However, I have recently thought about buying more colourful products and keeping them in my wardrobes just in case I desperately need a cheerful outfit for special occasions. Since I can't just wear black outfit to the events all the time, can I?

Personally, I feel extremely not confident when I wear such girly outfit. Sometimes, I wish I could wear something like any other girls wear but I don't feel like it's gonna happen soon. When I studied in high-school, I was really a sweet girl who cared about every single person on earth. I usually wore a skirt when I went out with my friends or even spent my money dresses all the time. But again, I was the target of criticism and judgement from people (no kidding but even my classmates also had fun talking about me). I felt horrible through the days I was in my high school life...seriously. 

Then I had an opportunity to go to the states where my attitude has started to changed. I have initiated the idea of getting tattoos, piercings etc and that's why my so-called friends started acting against me because they thought that I changed so much that they couldn't accept. I am still the same person but different attitudes, that's all. 

After that, I have taken a look closely to myself, and listened to my voice more and more. And I guess "Street fashion" is the right answer for me. I feel more confident when I put such style on my daily outfit. I feel like I don't even have to be scared of those people who look at me like they have something to say. Call me crazy, but I feel as if these clothes are encouraging me to be who I really am today. 

Well, it is me and I love it like this.
